Join your neighbors and providers of all kinds -- including the Metropolitan Police Department and other government agencies, along with community-based organizations -- for an afternoon of fun, food and information.
Activities for children and youth include a moon bounce, clowns and a battle of the bands competition between DC Public Schools bands.
Organizations will be on hand to share important information with young people about preventing violence, drugs and gangs.
Youth and adults like will have access to information and applications and be able to schedule appointments with the various agencies to access services. Organizations will share information about teen pregnancy, AIDS, employment opportunities, vocational and educational services, homelessness, crime prevention by environmental design and green living. In addition, some organizations will offer health screenings, such as for blood pressure.
